On July 11, 2023, IDC released data showing that the overall scale of China’s digital government integrated big data management platform reached 5.91 billion yuan in 2022, with a growth rate of 19.2%, indicating steady growth.

In terms of competitive landscape, Huawei, Alibaba Cloud, and Inspur Cloud ranked the top three in the market for China’s digital government big data management platform in 2022. H3C/Ziguang Cloud ranked fourth, while China Electronics Cloud and DreamFactory tied for fifth place. FiberHome and Unisoc Digital Science and Technology ranked seventh and eighth, respectively. Additionally, companies such as Pactera Zsmart, Star Ring Technology, Thousand Talents Technology, and City Cloud Technology are important suppliers in this field.

Despite the relatively challenging pandemic situation in the second half of 2022, which resulted in a slowdown in physical project construction, the pandemic prevention and control measures posed higher requirements for data aggregation and integrated analysis, leading to the demand for the construction of epidemic prevention and control systems across various regions.

At the same time, projects such as Smart Cities and City Brain continue to be developed, with major initiatives including government cloud platforms, integrated data infrastructure platforms, and smart cities.

In terms of investment proportions in government sub-sectors, investments in provincial, municipal, and county-level big data management platforms accounted for the largest share, representing 68% of the total investment in digital government big data management platforms in 2022. Among them, provincial platforms accounted for 25%, municipal platforms accounted for 25%, and county-level platforms accounted for 18%. The investment in public security by central ministries and directly affiliated institutions accounted for the largest portion at 9%, followed by transportation, judiciary, and water resources.
